Welcome to Bourton Manor
Our self catering accommodation is located in Shropshire’s beautiful Corvedale at the edge of the pretty conservation village of Bourton, just two miles from the charming medieval town of Much Wenlock (home of the modern Olympic Games).

Fashionable Ludlow with its Michelin starred restaurants, the World Heritage site of Ironbridge, famous for its historic Iron Bridge, museums and industrial heritage, Church Stretton and Darwin’s Shrewsbury are all less than a thirty minute drive away.
Richard and Caroline Barr look forward to welcoming you to their home, to stay in The Old Nursery, The West Wing Cottage or The Gun Room, all an integral part of this fascinating, rambling Norman Shaw manor house, which was built for Lord Wenlock in 1874. Each property is unique and all offer a high degree of privacy. In total we have accommodation for up to 14 people so a combination of The West Wing Cottage with either or both the other two properties is ideal for a family get together or reunion.
The Old Nursery (sleeps 4) is a luxurious first floor apartment. It has its own separate entrance, two bedrooms, ensuite and separate bathroom, and a large living room/kitchen area with interesting views – an ideal place to get away from it all and relax.
The West Wing Cottage (sleeps 6) is a great place for a holiday with family or friends – a wonderfully comfortable, spacious house. that.
The Gun Room (sleeps 2) is our latest property. The restoration of this wing of the main house has been a labour of love but it has been worth it. The Gun Room is a perfect retreat for two and is luxuriously appointed with antique furnishings and fine fabrics. The master bedroom has a large four poster bed and views to the beautiful Corvedale.
All three properties have a wireless internet connection (WiFi).
Outside there is an area of shared garden for guests to relax and enjoy the view over the Bourton Estate and Corvedale. There is ample allocated parking for each property.
Richard and Caroline are happy to share their local knowledge with you to help you get the most out of your stay.
On arrival, you will be welcomed with home-made cake and a selection of local produce including milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee and jam so breakfast is taken care of.
Gold Awards
We are delighted to have once again received Gold Awards from Quality in Tourism for all three properties. Gold Awards are awarded to properties which achieve exceptional levels of quality, comfort and service and we hope you will agree this makes Bourton Manor a very special place to stay.
